Mel attended Bishop Anstey High School and did Art until 5 th Form, under the
successful tutelage of Beverley Fitzwilliam-Harries.
Mel flew for 5 ½ years with Air Caribbean and then moved to London for 2 years
where she qualified as a massage therapist, ITEC qualified. She returned to Trinidad
where she opened her practice. During the Covid 19 lockdown, While looking for
activities to engage her two young children, introduced them to painting on flat
rocks which has become Sanity Stones T&T. This has evolved to her renewing her
relationship with art and Beverley Fitzwilliam-Harries. Mel is now painting on Canvas
as well as rocks and glass.
