Simone Jacelon is a multidisciplinary artist, ever curious in all visual media. Simone graduated from John S. Donaldson Institute as a graphic designer and has held the position of Creative Director at advertising agencies for 20 years. Her fine art exploits have seen her create and exhibit jewellery, paintings, collages and sculptures.

Her narrative is Caribbean female, which she expresses through her selection of mostly vibrant colours and feminine forms. The calm and solitude of her figures are sometimes in sharp contrast to their lively surroundings and underscores the power of peace within us and the duality of human nature. The scale of her works, their layering and details, encourages the viewer to experience them up close and have an intimate encounter with them. She calls them her “Pieces of Peace”.

Simone’s passion is to take her life challenges and channel them through her work as messages of solace, resilience, tenacity, joy and reliance on God. She shares her time, talent and work to assist and promote causes that support women’s issues dear to her.
